Call for Papers 2021

Consultants and practitioners are invited to submit articles, case studies, trivia and stories for the spring issue of The Noësis: MWildhorse Strategy and Performance Magazine.
Academic researchers, consultants, and experts are invited to serve in editorial roles as well as to contribute articles, stories and cases.
Recent Graduates, final year PhD and Master Degree students are invited to submit summary articles based on their final research papers. To be eligible student or recent graduate research submissions should have a focus on the Caribbean, Canada or New York. A Caribbean focus could be related to a Caribbean country or countries, the Caribbean in Canada (Caribbean-Canadian), or the Caribbean in any of its diaspora markets.
Business writers, reporters and journalists are invited to submit feature articles, news stories, historical pieces, opinion pieces, commentaries and tips.
Editorial Policy and Practice
Submissions will be peer-reviewed by subject matter experts, academia or magazine editors depending on whether they fall in-line with academic or practitioners’ pieces. Published pieces would have met the editorial standards and the objectives of the magazine.
Practical information
News stories and features should be between 800 to 2000 words; while articles and research works should be between 2000 to 2500 words (Review articles may be a maximum of 3000 words) and must be submitted by May 30, 2021.
Synopsis, proposals or draft submissions must be submitted by April 15, 2021.
Contributors are invited to submit a headshot photo and by-line along with their submissions, company name and contact may also be included. However, mention of company, client name, services and product offered are not permitted in the body of your submission.
Authority and Credibility
Submissions should include references and attribution. Arguments must be substantiated by research, cases, examples, quotes and statistics.
Clarity, Brevity and Simply
Keep it brief, clear and simple. Saving time, accelerating learning and simplicity are important to our readers. Pieces written for the general public should be in language that anyone can understand. Pieces with a more academic or professional target should strive towards using simple language but may include jargons and industry language, though constructed so all our readers can understand.
What to Include in Your Draft or Proposal
- The problem, issue, idea or concept? Say whether it is new, a counter argument for an existing idea, news, or something unique to the Caribbean or one of its diaspora markets.
- Who is the article aimed at? General public, professionals, practitioners, researchers, students, business owners, consultants.
- Why it is important to your target readers? How will they benefit from this article?
- How will your idea impact the public, organizations, entrepreneurs or their teams?
- Is it a breakthrough? How can it be applied?
- What research have you carried out? What professional and/or academic experience do you bring to the topic and readers?
- What key messages should readers understand? Is there something that must be changed now?
Submissions must be in MS Word documents, illustrations and images should be clear and impactful in communicating your ideas. They may include maps, photos, illustration, tables, infographics and other images that are properly labelled.
Deadline for final submissions: May 30, 2021
Deadline for submission of drafts or proposals: April 15, 2021.
